My Gorgeous baby girl

Well we had her....Elise Anaya came on the 5th June 2007 and weighed 8lb 5oz... she was 4 days early...

These are a couple of photos...the man holding Elise is my fantastic Pops who is a wonderful man and we all love him to bits..... he's a natural with his great grandaughter

What a nightmare though, contractions started on the Friday morning but were very irregular, starting at 20 mins apart and then being between 5 and 10 mins apart by Friday night...Come Saturday night I was in agony...but they were still irregular... went into hospital but my cervix hadnt opened so I was sent away and told for pain relief to have paracetomol....HA!!!
I was being told to go back by Monday by my family as I was in so much pain with every contraction - dont get me wrong, these werent braxton hicks they were the real thing and REALLY hurt...I didnt want to make fuss as they were still ranging from 5 - 10 mins and not regular....plus Id not had my waters broken or anything...

Tuesday Morning at about 2am I told Paul I could take it no longer.... we timed the contractions on the way and they were every 5 mins and lasting for 2 mins a go...OWWWEEEE....

When we got to Burton Hospital I was 5cm dilated so was kept in.... Opted for gas and air but it made me feel sick so had epidural...Hey Id been in pain since Friday...4 days of bad contractions...It meant I finally grabbed 2 hours sleep (had not slept properly since the Friday)
Then at 11am I had to start the pushing...... nearly 4 hours later I was STILL pushing....contractions were becoming irregular again, Elise had got quite far down but problem was she was posterior (face up) and they dont help themselves then.... I was exhausted...she was not in distress but they decided I needed help...so in theatre I had the ventouse (suction out) and in 3 contractions she was out.....

Placenta then wouldnt come so they ripped that out (was reminisent of a crime scene according to Paul - placenta exploded!!! all over the aneasatist (cannot spell that!!) ha ha ha serves HIM right!!) so I lost a lot of blood.... I was ok but had to stay in for 2 days...
Elise was fine though, had a bit of a cone head but not for long...

We like the name Elise and chose it years ago!! Anaya means God answered in Hebrew...Im sure you'll all agree he did answer our prayers for her health...

It was a sad day too as my grandma passed away....bit strange that it all happened the same day but that seems to be a common thing..spooky.... she was such a beautiful lady and Im so gutted she didnt meet Elise...I know she was watching down but Id only spoken to her on the phone the night before, and she was so looking forward to meeting her great grandaughter....at least she saw her (we had the 4d scan) and it was a great likeness...So Elise went to her first funeral at just a week old and she was as good as gold...Still is....only gets up once in night for feed and hardly cries (only for a reason)...shes so placid and perfect and we love her to bits...

Its taken ages to get this on as I forgot my log in details for here - DOH!!

Getting near

Well Im nearly 28 weeks now......

So you can probably guess everything is fine...18 week one went without hitch, had another at 25 weeks to check heart and consultant dismissed us from her books....she reckoned both times that Pip is a girl...

We had a 4d scan last week
http://www.kewego.co.uk/video/iLyROoaftgr_.html
Check out part of the dvd we got....dr there again confirmed girl...I cant quite believe its another girl...so wont truly until shes here..... Obviously whatever we have we'll be happy as the main thing is health. Think shes gonna be a big un though!!!

Anyway shes wriggling about in here loads, my stomach just moves up, down and around...is so amazing...
Our friends had their baby girl last Wed...Leah Grace, she was 8 weeks early but is doing really well, am praying loads for them as a family now but I know everything will be ok.....
Waiting for my cousin Jo to pop too, she was due last Thursday!!!...

Good News!!

Well we've done it again...

I am pregnant again, just over 12 weeks.....
We're all so excited and have a really good feeling that this little one will be ok....obviously as we have a genetic issue it could still go wrong but Im very confident it will be ok with little Pip...

We will have a scan at 18 weeks to determine if there is a problem or not...please keep praying for us..
Im massive already, got a right bump as I was only not pregnant for about 7 weeks...

Still miss Bean immensley, she should have been born last week, but I know she's looking down on us and I always feel her presence with me.... Its weird, I seemed to have such a strong bond with her from the first stage of pregnancy, a bond that I dont have this time...although I do have a bond its different, it feels as if I had this strong bond with Bean, that made her a proper person because I would never know her any other way...Im hoping that means this one will have opportunity for me to get to know him/her better....
I just feel as if I knew Bean and that she really was special........

Not written for a while

Been a while since I last wrote anything on here.. Had a lot going on I guess...

Our chances of having another patau baby are 1%...low but not impossible...that doesnt include early miscarriage though...apparently we are at a high risk of that, but we've been told by the geneticist that if we can get to 12 weeks in a pregnancy then the chances of the baby being fine are very good...so all we can do now is hope and pray I guess..

Started uni - (changing the subject)...am really enjoying it so far, is gonna be hard but hey I never thought it would be easy....Hopefully the time will fly by so quickly and then I'll be a qualified Occupational Therapist...
Qualified in my reflexology so I can practise that now too....working on promoting that one...

Havent really got much else to say................at the moment!

Getting there

We went to the hospital yesterday.....
Bean really was very very poorly, got the prelimenary post mortem results and she was not in a good shape inside...

Consultant actually said to us that the patau she had was incompatible to life....we already knew that but it makes what happened easier hearing someone else, a qualified person saying it...

Got the photos they'd taken of her, they werent very good...ours were nicer....we think the ones they took were taken after the post mortem...NICE!!! Oh well, thank goodness for camera phones eh??!! Without them we'd only have our memory of how she really looked!!!
